During production, pre-assembled BIW structures are transported from the previous station. The assembly fixture swiftly completes positioning and clamping with a precision of 0.1mm, followed by automated robotic welding operations. Each welding point is completed in an average of 3.5 seconds, showcasing CEI’s BIW technology in high precision, efficiency, and reliability.
Notably, the project demonstrates exceptional flexibility. It seamlessly adapts to production demands with rapid switching between fixtures and vehicle models. By expanding storage capacity, the system enables flexible, autonomous switching among 8 vehicle models, with the fastest model changeover time reduced to 15 seconds. This agility allows clients to efficiently respond to diverse market needs, achieving one-time investment with multi-model compatibility. Introducing new models simply requires adding corresponding positioning fixtures, granting clients a competitive edge in dynamic markets.
